![]() ![]() It is the cause of my horrendous vibrato though. The Infinity pickups are not very high output (pointy guitar wise) so tonally it is relatively versatile. Thanks for the reminder, i'll have to track down a replacement saddle for it and put it back in rotation. Was justy starting to REALLY enjoy it when the High e string broke again. I restrung it last year and found the neck too thin for about 10 minutes but gradually got used to it. Other than that I love the guitar and especially the licensed Floyd Rose tremolo, low rent version even though it is. I haven't used it in years becasue the high e string keeps breaking at the trem saddle and after my JV strat and various other Fender and Epiphone guitars I struggled with the thin Wizard II neck. Heavily influenced by my only friend that could play guitar and was a huge Metallica fan with the high end ESP Kirk Hammet Signature guitar! I can understand why someone would dismiss the idea of owning such a guitar.Īn RG470 in 1997 was my first ever and only guitar for 5+ years. No, not what I was expecting either, but you live and learn. 'Modern' but adaptable to almost any genre. It makes me play with a lighter touch, which seems to suit the guitar. The neck is such a contrast to the vintage Fender style I'm used to, but I find it equally as inspiring and comfortable. Never a fan of pointy guitars but played one last year out of curiosity and fell in love. Just restrung my purple RG550 Genesis and I can't get the smile off my face. ![]()
